Kindles in the Wild – Wanted – J. Kenner – June 11, 2021

We went from the wide-open plains of a safari to the salty sea air of a Pirate Festival as the day continues to unfold. I believe I said promises were made, well this was that promise. Summer loves the romanticized pirate life and what good mother wouldn’t indulge her? We just got lucky that we were in Florida when we were because, sadly, this was the last year for the Cocoa Beach Pirate festival to be in this location. The resort is going to be torn down (according to the pirate fest website), so the pirates will have to find a new place to call home in the future.

We had a couple of disgruntled travelers when we first stopped, but there tune soon changed when they figured out that they would get to spend some time in the sun, sand and waves while Summer and I took in the vendors and activities at the festival. What can I say! We all really wanted to stay and continue checking out the safari, but that will have to be on another trip.

While Summer added to her pirate garb, I found some sweet treats to add to my June Book Box giveaways. We met some pirates and their parrots, and we even got to meet a real live mermaid. They were so wonderful to entertain us and help out with our pictures.

While Summer was shopping around, I took the time to partake another one of my favorite books which was lost to me because of my own stupidity. This book is one of those that just stays with you. I love the characters and the realness of their plights. Not that I am in the mood to shop lift, but I can feel the pain that would drive someone to seek out the thrill. These two were imperfectly perfect for each other, and I love that they finally got the chance at their HEA. I have read the rest of the series many times, but even now I can’t wait to get a chance to read them all again.

The pirates might not be in Cocoa Beach next year, but I would highly recommend finding them wherever they are for a fantastic day. And you won’t want to miss out on this book, it is one that will stay with you for years to come.

Happy Reading

He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have. Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets. My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight. And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same. BONUS: This edition includes excerpts from J. Kenner's Say My Name and Release Me. Wanted is intended for mature audiences.

Seeking the thrill

I absolutely love this book! I actually read it several years ago, but when I went to read it again I couldn’t remember the author or the title. But I remembered every word of the story and couldn’t imagine never reading it again. The characters are amazing! I love how the personalities and relationships are so realistic and the intensity of their interactions. I enjoyed how the storyline played out and I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the other knights. This book was everything I remembered and perfect for a weekend read.
