How do you guys feel about restaurants? Do they have to be brand name or chain restaurants? Or are you okay with a local hole in the wall joint most likely to be found on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives? You know the ones I mean right? The seedy and suspicious looking exterior that opens into an entirely new world of visual and culinary delight where the smells, tastes, and atmosphere just draw you in and make you want to come back repeatedly.
Pineapple Joe’s in Fort Pierce Florida is one of those places. From the outside it is a rather nondescript place that you are not even sure if it is open, but once you cross the threshold you are hit with the sounds and vibe of a local favorite. The food was phenomenal! And I was so glad that we went early because the seating filled up quick. We probably stayed longer than was polite for a well-loved hot spot, but between the good food and great friends we were reluctant to bring the night to an end.
The book I took with me, The Biker’s Nanny by Sam Crescent, is very similar to the location. The title and cover are rather unassuming, but within the pages is a story that warms the heart and excites the senses. It is one of my favorite books by this author and an all too frequent re-read. I won’t tell you how many times I have read the story, but let’s just say it is more than a few. Mainly because every time I read it, I find something new that I missed before. Darn it! And now I want to read it again! But I mean how can you go wrong with a story where an unexpected meeting becoming an informal job interview when the main characters find themselves at the actual job interview a few hours later. After that the innocent nanny causes the bad boy biker to semi change his ways, at least for her and the baby. It’s got everything you are looking for in an MC romance. A fascinatingly realistic world and well-developed characters that you find yourself cheering for them to reach their HEA.
Be sure to tell me about your favorite restaurants, especially those little ones that only the locals know about. Who knows, you might find me at the booth next door when you least expect it. And don’t forget to let me know if you have read The Biker’s Nanny before or even your own favorite nanny book. I don’t know why, but that is one of my favorite troupes to read. But with no cheating and no cliff hangers please.
Happy reading,
Sydney

Jasmine knows all about heartache. With one divorce under her belt, it takes a lot to shock her, which is why she doesn’t walk away from a job interview at an MC clubhouse. The job is simple, take care of Hawk’s baby girl. Easy. Or it should be…
But Hawk’s not like other men. She’s attracted to him, and that’s very, very bad.
Hawk’s not used to holding back. But when it comes to Jasmine, he knows he can’t have her. The only problem is he’s not good at being told he can’t have what he wants.

Official published review:
Breaking all the rules
You wouldn’t expect to get such a fantastic feel good story coming out of an MC, but this has to be one of the best kind of feel good stories. These two have their ups and downs, but the author really unlocked a sensitive side to Hawk that is rarely shown. I love the way the author included the rest of the club into the story intensifying the reality of the experience. Although I would have liked it if Bear and Renee received a story of their own, and of course Red would need one as well. No matter what the author brings us next, I can’t wait to read it
