This one is another excursion without any books and a little bit closer to my home away from home. The Louisianna clan and I took a day trip to the Shreveport Aquarium to let the little one experience the joys found under the seas. Although this aquarium is smaller compared to others that we have visited, it offers a wealth of interactive experiences and fascinating tanks to explore. We especially enjoyed the waterfall archway; it was the perfect opportunity for pictures and is a nice surprise after the outdoor heat. Be prepared for the initial part of the aquarium; it leads you into the humid heat of Louisiana’s wilderness, which can be stifling if unexpected. But overall, we enjoyed this little gem of the south and look forward to making our way there again.
