After spending the night in Hagerstown, we headed to Frederick for the day. This town has those sacred items that all dancers need…. pointe shoes, not to mention the fantastic small town feel and picturesque views of the water.
We visited on a Sunday morning, so a lot of the shops were closed. But it’s the perfect little kitchy town where you can find knick knacks and one-of-a-kind gifts. Plus there is everything from ice cream to gluten free when you are ready to take a break and enjoy the cuisine.
The book for this location is one of my favorite series starters. The town they are from is a little bit more of a hole in the wall but the author created fantastic characters, and kept the intensity high with action and danger galore.
If you are a shopper of not, you will enjoy this sweet little town with its many offerings, and not too far from the Baltimore Metro area. And if you are looking to go down the series rabbit hole? This is the perfect book to find the path with.

The author blasted right out of the gate with this series starter! The characters are well written and so relatable, and the emotional and physical upheaval they experience throughout the book made the HEA that much sweeter. I love how these two meet and the way they faced danger, betrayal, and family drama enriched the story. This book was amazing and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
