This particular Kindles in the Wild is a little bit of an epiphany for me. In all of my trips, and all of my books, there have been a ton of hotel stays, usually through IHG, but I have not celebrated them as much as I should. That seems like such a travesty since I do a big bulk of my reading in our hotel rooms while we are enjoying downtime between activities. Regretfully I cannot go back and recapture the moments that were lost, but going forward I can celebrate the moments soon to come.
My first such hotel is a little bit off of the beaten path. We stayed in this Holiday Inn Express on our way home from Florida in January. It is super easy to get to, just hope off the interstate at South of the Border and head left. The hotel is tucked into this cute little college town that had restaurants open late. Of course, you can always head over to South of the Border and find things to do and food to eat if you are looking for a more commercialized experience.
The hotel itself was a fantastic experience. The staff were nice and polite, and they were able to tell us about the local area and the closest places to eat, that were still open when we checked in. The hotel had the business area, snack center, as well as the breakfast nook, although we did not take part of those amenities during our brief visit. They might have had more to offer, but we didn’t explore much beyond the lobby and our rooms. The rooms were big and well-lit with comfortable beds, plenty of outlets, and a fantastic view of the sun rising. This is one of those hotels that I will certainly stop in again if I find myself in the area.
The book that kept me occupied while here was this fabulous little re-release by one of my favorite authors. She has not made any huge changes, but she did put her own stamp on the matchmaker aspect of it. I absolutely love Uncle Uzzie! He is sweet and adorable with just that hint of sass that you would expect from someone who is the matchmaker to huge beasts and the sassy ladies who tame them, well at least tone them down a little bit. This series is one of my favorites with the big cat shifters and this has to be one of my favorite books in it.
If you are looking for a place to rest your weary head or just a spot to land while you experience the world around you, I suggest stopping at this cozy hotel. And what better book to curl up with then this sassy tale of love and danger. Trust me when I say you are not going to want to miss the antics these characters get up to.

Another success story
Uncle Uzzie has done it again and brought love to the Maverick Pride. I enjoyed the way this reformed bad boy has finally found his HEA. With more than one embarrassing moment, a slight age difference, and a revelation that was years in the making, the author brought these characters together. I loved Lance and Annalia, and of course the rest of my favorite characters, the way they connected right away and had so much in common added depth to the story that kept me enthralled until the end. And is that a fantastic lead into the next installment or what? I am already looking forward to reading the next book.
