Kindles in the Wild – Pregnant by the Alien Healer – Mina Carter – April 17, 2022

Our new indoor “thing” seems to be bowling as we once again find ourselves at the bowling alley. Hey! At least we are getting in plenty of practice. You know, for our future career on the bowling league. Mmm….does our alley even have a league. Things to think about.

Anyway, the lineup was a little different this time since Summer was able to join us. We were in a different lane, and everyone did a much better job, but I think our scoring machine was just a bit off.

I don’t know how I managed it, but the book this time was perfect for the lighting. This is one of those books that I just randomly find myself downloading again and again. What can I say? The story is just that good! The characters are phenomenal, the pages are full of emotional angst, and maybe a touch of immaculate conception, and enough danger to keep the energy high until the very end.

Be sure to check it out wen you get the chance. You don’t even have to wait until you hit the bowling alley.

Happy Reading

Pregnant by the Alien Healer (Warriors of the Lathar Book 3)

Published to Amazon on September 22, 2017

Author Mina Carter

She’s pregnant without nookie. Someone lied to her about the birds and the bees. Being kidnapped by aliens isn’t so bad, especially as it allows Jess to be close to a certain handsome healer. She thinks he’s more interested in his tests and her genetic code than in her as a woman, until a hot encounter proves just how wrong she was. When Laarn is called away to the battlefield, she gets treatment from the automated systems in his lab. Button-mashing alien tech? Not a good idea. Now she’s pregnant without a sniff of between the sheets action. What’s worse, there’s a bunch of fanatics loose in the palace trying to kill her and her baby… Duty or desire. He can’t have both... Laarn’s scars mark his rank as the best healer in the empire, but Jessica, the beautiful human female who holds his interest, won’t even look at them. He wants her, but his duty lies in saving his people. Until everything changes. A lost strand of DNA in the human code, hidden in Jess’s genetic material, could mean a cure. She’s the key to the lathar’s future, and his own. Between a pregnancy, mating marks and a fanatic out to kill the woman he loves, can Laarn remain detached enough to do his duty… or will he give into emotion and save his heart?

Who is the daddy

I absolutely love this book. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I have read it. I always cheer for those who can’t quite connect with the person they are supposed to be with, and the author made this pairing a long journey full of every emotion available. I enjoyed the way the healer finally came to grips with his need for his mate and the way the emperor always wants what is best for the sons of his heart. Then the author made him almost lose it all over a misunderstanding caused by skulking in the halls. So much pain that she brings to an amazing ending you will not want to miss. I can’t wait to read whatever book she brings my way next.

Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days. So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all... (But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.) The boring part: A full time author, photographer and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She's addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.
