Kindles in the Wild – Operation Wolf: Eli – Sedona Venez – June 11, 2021




Are you guys ready to go a little retro today? Okay! Not too retro, mind you! Just way back to June (Good grief! Is it September already?) and our last day in Florida. I’m not yet ready to close the book, ha ha ha, on Florida, but on our last day we just had to check out the boardwalk at the Cocoa Beach Pier, and of course, Ron Jon Surf Shop, since we were already there.


This boardwalk is literally on the pier! I mean to get to the viewing platform you have to walk past the shops, through an indoor restaurant, an outdoor restaurant, and stop before the bar. It was amazing to look at, but too many people for me.


Well and I think they usually get giants who visit them. Or maybe five foot is just way too short? I don’t feel too short, but I certainly was at a disadvantage with this one. We stopped in the facilities (come on! You know I am not going to go into details, well not those kinds anyway) and those stall doors were way up to the ceiling and should come with a step stool. I had to hold my backpack from the bottom and blindly fish around for the hook, which seemed to be ten feet off the ground. Okay, maybe an exaggeration, but I wasn’t carrying a ruler and I couldn’t have reached high enough to measure anyway. 😉 And, of course, I forgot to put my phone in there and promptly dropped it, striking the edge, and cracking the corner of the protective cover. BOO!!!!!


Good thing I had such a fantastic book to take with me on this one, and that my IPad mini didn’t hit the floor. Talk about a travesty! I could survive without my phone, but not my Kindle app. 😉 Anyway! This book was fantastic, I love the second chance at romance with a PNR twist. These two characters were meant to be together.


Although I wasn’t a huge fan of Cocoa Beach, because of the people, I think everyone should check it out at least once. And this book is good for any season, or any weather, it’s the perfect escape from reality that you won’t want to miss.

What a fantastic story! I love the characters and the strength of their love! She loved him enough to let him go, and he loved her enough that he had to come back. Sigh….second chances at its absolute best! The author kept the energy and intensity high throughout with enough danger and excitement for any reader. This was the first book I’ve read in the series, and it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone, but I can’t wait to go back and read book one.
