Another day, another outdoor adventure and another book to enjoy. For this one I just have to start with the book, Midnight Echoes by Mandy M Roth, because it is one of my absolute favorites by this author. I always thought myself more of a shifter fan, but there is just something about the fang gang that draws me to them over and over again. I have read Midnight Echoes a million times, okay not a million, but at least ten times. I love the characters, the action, the danger, and the romance that Ms Roth brings to all of her stories, but this one just hits different with an unrequited love that almost wasn’t a HEA. I mean Meena tries to resolve the angst on her own, not her best idea, but the only one she has got, which causes Bhaltair to finally act or forever lose his opportunity. Sounds like a simple plot, but it is so much more and guaranteed to add any reader to the list of fang gang fan club members. I mean, who doesn’t love a tarnished bad boy who only comes out at night, rocks the tortured gothic vibes, and loves his best gal full stop. Swoon!
Although there was no danger or romance, at least for me, at the Leaf, I think it is similar to the book. Even from the pictures it seems like an unassuming location, but within there are paths that show you a natural wonderland right in the city. The Leaf has paths, art installations, wildlife, greenery, flowers, and even a labyrinth where you can let your mind and your feet wander away from the cares of the world and return to a simple existence of enjoying the day and whatever comes your way.
Do you have a place like that near where you live? A hidden gem that lets you be free of worry and cares? How about a book that you will read just one more time because it calls to you and you just can’t help yourself? Tell me all about them! I might just want to check them out on my next adventure.
Happy reading!

Vampire and Crimson Operative Bhaltair hasn’t always played for the side of good. He’s walked a fine line throughout his immortally long life and has very few regrets. He’s always had everything he’s ever wanted—that is until Meena. As a human descendant of the master vampire he serves, Meena isn’t on the menu. That is until he learns he’s in danger of losing her to another supernatural male.

Official published review:
Innocent and unaware
There is just something about the fang gang. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of the ops books, but the vampires just seem more. The author has made them old, with the classic proper air we expect, and a beautiful brutality that we don’t see in the shifters or fae. I really enjoyed this book and the way that these two had to overcome preconceived notions, protective alpha males and a group of baddies to reach their HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in the ops series.
