Kindles in the Wild – Dog Fight – Madison Stevens – June 6, 2021

This round of mini golf was brought to you by one of my favorite books! (I admit I am a complete dork! I have always wanted to say that since I was a good and one of my favorite TV shows always ended that way.) But seriously! I absolutely love this book! The author took a complete turn from her normal fair and brought us right into the pack. I love the characters, yes even the dragon lady, and I love the storyline and the potential for future books to come. This book is a must read and perfect for the beach, or the mini golf lanes.

Speaking of mini golf lanes. So far, I think this is my favorite set of lanes. I love the fact that you feel like you are deep in nature! There are so many water and plant elements and some pretty amazing holes that you have to hit. (Congratulations Summer for getting that hole in one on the first lane!) There is a little koi pond where you can see turtles and koi, and a big floating rubber ducky, and there is even a gator that you can try to feed a coin and make a wish.

I think that one of the best things about this location is that there are two different courses to pick from and so many other things to keep you entertained for a few hours. And the fact that even though we went during the off season, apparently we were number 400 for the week (go us!), most of the features were still fully operational.

If you ever find yourself in Vero Beach, I highly recommend taking the gang to this little mini golf hide away for a fun time to be had by all. But no matter what you do, don’t forget to add this fantastic book to your kindle. You will not be disappointed.

Happy Reading

Erik is more than happy to tell anyone that things like curses and destiny are nonsense. He has no time for myths, legends, and other garbage. It doesn’t matter that he’s a werewolf pack leader who acquires art for vampires, not exactly the normal makings for a skeptic. The only thing Erik has less time for than talk of destiny is an actual relationship. One-night stands are all he’s willing to risk, and he’s never cared about finding something more lasting. Women are trouble even when you’re not trying to hide your secret existence as a werewolf. He just can’t figure out why he’s so obsessed with the hot new temp worker Lillian. Lillian only wants a job to prove that she can make it in the big city. Her biggest concern is avoiding the wrath of spiteful co-workers. Attracted to and distracted by her hunky boss, she has no idea that she has a hidden fate in her new city. When Lillian stumbles into a werewolf fight, Erik realizes she’s much more than just an object of lust, and soon she’s dragged into a supernatural conspiracy threatening the entire city. Now, the pack leader will have to control his own desire while he protects the woman from his own kind.

A short walk home

This story is the perfect mix of old and new! Filled with vikings, and valkyries, and vampires the story seems to come alive with the help of the authors expert use of a pen. The characters are well developed and I felt drawn to their plight as they discovered an insidious danger among them. I love the HEA, but was left with so many questions that I can’t wait for the next installment to come out. Is there an unknown connection? Does the office romance end in a HEA? Will the vampire end up with the perfect woman for him? And so many more stories just waiting to be told. I can’t wait!

Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun in Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, she was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she stated on more than one occasion before moving to Arizona how much she hated heat, it was an odd move, but it seems her hatred for sub-zero temperatures and ice has won out in the end. When she's not writing, she's enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer, she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic, but with her husband beside her, there's nothing she can't handle.
