Kindles in the Wild – Caged with the Alien – Luna Kingsley – November 6, 2021

We were out early this morning enjoying some fantastic pancakes for a wonderful cause. We got to say hello to some of our friends, eat some amazing pancakes (sorry you have to bring your own jar of Nutella), and checked out the vendor tables. You guys need to get you some of the beef jerky. It’s phenomenal! Not to mention the guys are just starting up and it will help them out. And Toni might have talked me into getting some of her brownies. Yummy!

Be sure to stop and say hello to the clowns! They are spreading cheer and balloons, on this fall, umm winter?, morning. Don’t judge! It’s hard to tell what season we are in with the weather going from sunny and 70 to 27 and frosty in only a week.

And don’t forget to empty your change at the table or when you purchase tickets at the door. This particular pancake breakfast is to raise money to Help Find The Cure For Muscular Dystrophy. So every bite of yummy goodness, and every donation you make, go towards a wonderful cause.

Of course, I’m never without my IPad, so I took a few minutes to read a couple pages. And what an amazing book it is! Imagine my surprise when I picked up this book and found myself headed down the series rabbit hole. (You're right! I'm not sure why I was surprised since it just seems to be the way I live my reading life.) The writing is intense and captured my attention from the first page. I loved the characters and could easily relate to the struggles they have faced and are facing now. The author kept me on my toes throughout the book and I just didn’t want to put it down. Some many twists and turns that lead to the perfect HEA. This is certainly a must read.

There is still time to enjoy the pancakes, if you are in the area and get there before noon, and there is always time to add another wonderful book to your read, or to be read, pile.

Happy Reading

Caged with the Alien (An Alien Breeder Romance) (Roh'ilian Warrior Series Book 1)

Published to Amazon on May 20, 2020

Author Luna Kingsley

Will she be the one to lure the beast from the darkness?

Galak, once the proud leader of his tribe, has become one with death and pain. They call him beast, and he’s earned the title. Living in a cage, being forced to fight to survive has made him the worst version of himself. Most nights, he wonders if he’ll ever find his way back again. Then she appears, dropped into the middle of the combat pits. He’s given an order to impregnate her or face the consequences. But he’s Roh’ilian and they don’t hurt women or take what isn’t given freely. Even the beast within won’t allow it. Emerie, desperate for money, arrived at a research organization to participate in a medical study. With zero family to lean on, her back is against the wall. Instead of the pills she expected, she wakes up in a strange place surrounded by creatures from science fiction novels. She’s given a choice: submit to the beast or be passed from cage to cage until she gives her captors what they want – a successful mating between a human and alien species that results in a child. But Emerie just wants to go home. Even if there’s nothing for her to go home to. She’s seen the beast’s incredible power firsthand. She also sees how he looks at her. If he wanted to, he could take her without question. Instead, he surprises her. Is it possible the beast has a soft side? And how far is he willing to go to make sure she remains unharmed? Caged with the Alien is the first book in a steamy new alien breeder series. No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA guaranteed!

Official published review:

In the darkness find your light

Such an amazing story! I love the characters! These just stole my heart with the pain they have had to suffer. I love the instant connection, and how gentle he is with her in an impossible situation. The author kept the action and danger coming while these two characters worked together to find a way out. I enjoyed how they found strength in each other and the people who helped them along the way. This book is a fantastic series starter! And the author set us up perfectly for the next book and I can’t wait to see what happens!
