Summer is taking me back to my childhood with her newest favorite pastime. Hush you! No one needs to know that I might have played a game just last night. She has found a love for Crisis Protocol and Alternate Worlds, which means I spend my Sunday’s driving back and forth, sitting in the car enjoying the warmth of the great outdoors, or finding a spare chair and working on my blog/website while the games go on in the background. Or in this case, when my battery ran out, I picked up my IPad Kindle app and got in some reading.
This little gem has been around since I was a kid, at many different locations, and is the perfect haunt for the gamer and comic book lover in your life. The walls and shelves abound with a fantastic selection of items for every type of geek/nerd in your life and knowledgeable staff if you are a novice or searching for the perfect gift. In fact, they have a retail area downstairs and upstairs as well as a gaming area upstairs. The current location is not too far from our house, and I am glad to see Summer has found her little group of like-minded people to enjoy spending time with.
The book on my Kindle app was kind of the perfect book for me to spend my time with. The author has really embodied girl power with her ladies in the series and her guys are the perfect alpha males who are struggling to come to terms with the strength of those ladies. I was so engrossed in the story that I was able to drown out the games going on around the room. As a mom of two, that is not as hard as it seems, but I was so enthralled that I didn’t want to put it down when it was time to head home. I don’t know about you, but it is the sign of a perfect book to me.
If you are in the area and in the need of a new group, or new game, I highly recommend checking out the store and you never need an excuse to add this particular book to your To Be Read pile.

Finding their niche
I am really loving this series! The author takes each couple and brings them to what they need. I really enjoyed these two. They both set out on a course, but found out they needed to regroup and rethink to find their footing. Of course, conversation is a bit of a challenge for them. I enjoyed that we got to see some of my favorite characters from the previous books and the danger that almost ruined everything. This book hit all of the high points I look forward to in SciFi romance and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
