It’s been a while since we were able to get out and about, but I feel like this winter has been going on forever. Heck! Who am I kidding! It’s still going on, we had frost just this morning. Not to mention just the other week I was unexpectedly stuck in the frozen north overnight due to winter storms. Oh well, welcome to Maryland, they always say. Although on this particular adventure it was welcome to Pennsylvania.
If you couldn’t tell before, my daughters and I love being out in nature. Admittedly sometimes nature does not love me, Curse you allergies!, but we love it all the same. I got to spend an unplanned week with my youngest in March for Spring Break, and come snow, mud, or spring runoff, we were going to be outside. Nothing relaxes you after a 7-hour drive like getting out and getting dirty.
I had no sooner pulled up at school and my co-piolet was pulling this fantastic little walking trail up on the GPS. It is only about 5 minutes from her school and there are areas for every hiking level. It was a little bit muddy, okay a lot muddy with that black sludge that stains everything it touches, and in some places there was ice and snow. But the views were phenomenal! We didn’t get to see every part she wanted to as the water was super high from the runoff, but it was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon.
It just so happened that I had my iPad mini and Kindle app on me I know! Shocker, right? With the perfect book to enjoy while soaking up the sights and sounds of nature. This is from of my favorite series, like the trail it has a little bit of something for everyone with the many branches off the original series. I am slowly going back and reading them all, so I can catch up on reviews I didn’t leave when I first started reading ebooks, but like usual I am reading them completely out of order. The cover on this one drew me in and I was not disappointed. This is a fantastic story that I hope you take a chance to add to your To Read folder.
Both the trail and the book are something you are not going to want to miss.

Completely blown away
What a fantastic story! I absolutely loved this branch off of the Grizzly Cove series. We got to see so many characters from the different storylines come together to bring us to the perfect HEA. The author kept true to form with a tasty alpha male, his strong sweet mate, and a rough dangerous path that captivated and enthralled me from the first page. I can’t wait to see what happens with the brothers and the rest of the defenders of the light!
