Kindles in the Wild – My Guardian – Alanea Alder – May 11, 2022 – Presque Isle Beach 10

In an effort to keep on top of the current goings on I have been remiss in going back and posting some of the experiences we had at the beginning of this summer. Yikes! It is almost the end of the year and I still have so many places to post about from back in May. I will try to do better, but I am now going to school full time, work full time, and parenting full time, okay they are adults and should be kind of self-sufficient, but I still have to make multiple trips to the frozen north to pick up my youngest and my oldest has a bust schedule even though she is here.

If you follow my blog, you might have been to this little location with us before. Well, this is actually our first time to Beach 10, but we have been out on Presque Isle a lot. This particular visit was just to pick Mollee up from school for the summer, but because she had COVID she was not able to get out in the sun. So being the mom that I am, I packed her and all of her belongings into the car and we headed out for a brief walk on the beach before we headed to the hotel for the night. Fresh air is the best medicine, in my opinion, especially when the beaches are next to empty as it is still too cold to swim in May.

Mollee is always such a good sport when it comes to my Kindles in the Wild. Look she even chased down the geese to try to get the picture with them. Of course, the sun was at the wrong angle, so we were not able to use those pictures. But COVID or not, she gave it the good old college try.

The book that joined us on this venture was from one of my absolute favorite authors. I love when she takes us to the city of the night and an entire new crew get swept in the shenanigans that just seem to follow wherever Meryn goes. If you have not read this series yet, I highly recommend starting from the beginning. But like the Isle, there is really no bad place to jump in at and you will keep wanting to go back for more.

Happy Reading

My Guardian (Bewitched And Bewildered Book 6)

Published to Amazon on June 21, 2016

Author Alanea Alder

The next chapter in the Bewitched and Bewildered series is about to begin. Meryn and Beth have been summoned by Beth’s uncle and council elder, Magnus Rioux to the vampire’s pillar city of Noctem Falls. Meryn in a city of vampires, what could go wrong? Aiden and Gavriel are about to find out. Eva Mae Miller has been around for a long time. But never in all of her centuries has she ever had to turn to vampires for sanctuary. But when whole paranormal families begin disappearing in her quiet Texas suburb, Eva knows that it’s time to set her pride aside and join the other refugees heading to Noctem Falls for protection. Adriel Aristaios doesn’t know what to make of the small human his commander is mated to. Bethy assures him that Meryn is sane, but he’s not so sure. Magnus had to be out of his mind bringing a pregnant human and accident-prone Bethy back to the City of the Night, just as things are about to get ugly. To complicate matters Adriel is pretty sure the sassy, blonde shifter is his mate. How can he possibly do his duty and protect their Prince, when he has not only his commander’s mate and little Bethy to guard, but also the woman who has stolen his heart. When racial tensions threaten to boil over and sink the city in chaos, Adriel surprisingly finds himself relying on wacky little Meryn and his mate to help keep things from turning violent. But as more information comes to light, it’s clear that someone is out to destroy his city. The question is will they find them in time?

Official published review:

The truth will set you free

I just can’t stop myself from reading this series over and over again. I especially enjoy this book as we meet new people and get to investigate a new city. That doesn’t mean our favorites are left behind, what would this series be without the alpha unit. I have read it many times before, but I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Alanea Alder started writing at a very young age, some of her first scribblings are treasured in a keepsake box and written in green marker. She started when she was still in grade school and continued on through college. A Jack of All Trades, Alanea loves to read. Her bookcase is an eclectic mess ranging from Japanese Kanji flashcards to a Microbiology study guide. Her fiction section is just as varied from the whimsical Louisa May Alcott to the steamy scenes of Laurel K Hamilton. Above all else and before she was a writer, she will always be an avid reader. She absolutely loves to hear from her readers so don’t hesitate to reach out via the contact form or on Facebook. Her promise to her readers “If you keep reading, I’ll keep writing!” Author’s Website: https://alaneaalder.com/ Author’s Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/authoralaneaalder/ Author’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alaneaalder/ Author’s Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Alanea-Alder/e/B00D80G86O Author’s Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/7076304.Alanea_Alder Author’s BookBub: https://www.bookbub.com/authors/alanea-alder
