This one is a 2-part day trip, and it was absolutely amazing! Thank goodness we started the day fairly early, because the parking lot was really starting to fill up as we got there. Of course, that also meant that we had some downtime to sit and enjoy the outdoors while we waited for our boat tour. As it so happened, I just managed to bring one of my favorite books written by my favorite authors. This is a pretty new release, and it is just a little embarrassing how many times I have read it since it first landed on my Kindle app. But it is just so good! I can’t help myself.
For any of you guys that know me, you know this particular day trip was one that I was really looking forward to. I don’t usually watch TV, I much prefer to be outside doing stuff or reading a book, but if I do it is usually Animal Planet, The History Channel, SciFi, got to get my Paranormal Witness, or the Travel Planet for the history shows, what can I say I might be a little bit boring. Mmm probably why I am still single, too boring to date?
Anyway, ever since their debut on Animal Planet I have wanted to go visit the Gator Boys and on this trip the girls and I finally made it to their little place in the sun. The first part of our day started with a fantastic Airboat Tour, how can you go to Florida and not take an airboat tour? Our tour was piloted by the fabulous Captain Jeremy, the hero of the day making sure that we got to see plenty of gators both dead and alive, yes, we got to see a little bit of the circle of life on our tour. Captain Jeremy is just full of fun facts about the Everglades, did you now that the Pond Apple is the gators favorite treat? Me either, but I was certainly feeling the Flowers in the Attic vibe with this little gem since the only time humans can eat it is when it is fully ripe. And when it is not ripe? Yep, you guessed it in one, the apple has high levels of arsenic.
By the end of the tour, I was even more in love with the Everglades and ready to see the gators a little more up close and personal. But not without reading another book. 😊

Skin Walkers: Mason
Published to Amazon on December 27, 2020
Author Susan Bliler
Mason EnemyHunter is a Skin Walker who’s only had time for work and hunting for his sister. Hell, he didn’t even know he had a sister until a siege on the facility where his parents were once captives produced a file verifying her birth. Distracted beyond measure, his treatment of a human female visiting StoneCrow Estates is unforgivable. Never had he physically harmed a female, until now. His inexcusable manhandling of Amanda Chandler leaves him needing to make amends. When his efforts at making things right pulls him from his sole-minded purpose of finding his sister, Mason realizes that he’s put his happiness on hold. That’s about to change. Amanda Chandler doesn’t know why Mason attacked her. A friend and ally to Skin Walkers, she’d always felt safe in their presence until now. Worse, Mason’s guilt over the situation has him turning up every time she turns around. His insistence at making amends has him doing more for her than any man has done in a long time. It’s got strange emotions filling her head and a longing tugging at her heart. But Mason isn’t for Amanda. He’s too consumed with finding his sister, and Amanda’s too preoccupied trying to end things with Skin Walker Sentry, Remy McCabe. Mason couldn’t have arrived at a worse time, but Amanda can’t seem to shake him or the idea of what if. *This is book 4 in the Skin Walkers series; however, each book focuses on a different couple and can be read as a standalone.

The heart wants
What a phenomenal experience! The author did not disappoint with this much anticipated addition to the Skin Walkers series. Mason and Amanda’s story is everything I hoped it would be, and so much more. I love how she brought this couple together before she entwined Remy into the mix. The bumps in the road and Remy’s reaction are exactly what I needed to read for the story to fit smoothly into its position in the series. I especially enjoyed the unexpected stranger danger. Seriously! Who even saw that coming! This book was amazing and I am already anticipating the next book in the series. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.

My pack territory is in Central Montana, between Stone Crow Estates and the North Fortress. Born and raised in an untamed location that bridges the gap between rolling prairies and majestic mountain peaks, I am born to a family that also bridges the gap between cultures. My father's people boast a fiercely proud Scandinavian ancestry while my mother's tribes descend from two savagely beautiful and unique nations (White Clay and Nakoda) that inspire my Skin Walker series. I'm a huge fan of MMA, boxing, 30 Seconds to Mars, DMX, Nahko and Medicine for the People, and 21 Pilots ("...sometimes quiet is violent"). I also love to read because it encourages me to write. (I hate it when authors add that they love coffee and chocolate. Really? Who doesn't love coffee and chocolate?) Anyway, I love beer...kidding. I don't love beer, but we are engaged in a very serious relationship. (Mom, please don't call me when you read this.) Please leave feedback....well, only if it's positive.
