Kindles in the Wild – Hot Enough to Burn – Cynthia Eden – October 16, 2022 – MD Renaissance Festival

We’re going to pop a little bit further forward in time now to October. I know! I still have a ton of places and books to share, but this one was super fun and something that the girls and I haven’t been able to experience for a while. Not to mention it was a quick break from an October that just never seemed like it was going to end. Busy is not the word for what October was for us around here. Okay, busy is the word, but if there was a bigger word, I would use that instead.

Summer and I were up bright and early on this Sunday, so we could get everything finished and decked out to go a Viking (not sure if that is spelled right, but there is no spell check red line so I’m going with it). I think the Gods were on our side for this little venture. The line to the interstate exit wasn’t too terribly bad, we followed directions and formed a second line of cars in the actual parking lot, (I feel like we were the only ones who could read though, or else people just like being in the same line) anyway, we got to the front with no wait or issues and we were told to park right beside the main entrance to the faire grounds. SCORE!!!!

After that it was time to enter the gate and transport back in time. Where the fairies fly, the knights are gentlemen, and the mead goes down smooth. Not too smooth though, Sumer and I much preferred the blackberry wine, but hey! As a first time taking her out drinking, we didn’t do to bad. If you have not been to the MD Renn Faire, I hope you put it on your “To Do” list for next year. There are so many vendors, and activities to enjoy, like the jousting, not to mention all of the people who embrace the faire and make the experience that much more enjoyable.

The book I took on this journey was hot enough to burn up the forest and start me down the series rabbit hole. The characters were phenomenal, and they had such a deep connection from the beginning that it was just fantastic to watch them come together. And the storyline was compelling and just drew me right in. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to read this author’s books, but now they are stacked up in my “To Be Read” folder and my Amazon Wishlist waiting to see the light of day, or night, or whatever time it is when they hit the old Kindle app. I hope you don’t wait as long as me to find yourself a brand-new favorite author.

Happy Reading

Hot Enough To Burn (Phoenix Fury Book 1)

Published to Amazon on January 20, 2022

Author Cynthia Eden

Prepare to burn up the pages in this hot paranormal romance by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Cynthia Eden. (**HOT ENOUGH TO BURN is a re-release. The book was originally published by Kensington in 2014, and it had the title of BURN FOR ME.**) Do you believe in monsters? You should, they walk among humans every single day. Reporter Eve Bradley has known the truth about paranormals for a while, and her latest story has taken her inside the mysterious Genesis facility. It’s at Genesis that Eve first meets Subject Thirteen, Cain O’Connor. Big, gorgeous, and truly, truly HOT. Cain is a phoenix shifter. Every time that he dies, he rises from the ashes…stronger, deadlier, and another step closer to losing his control. And what happens when a phoenix loses control? Welcome to hell on Earth. Cain feels an instant connection with Eve, a woman who swears she wants to help him. The attraction between them burns hotter than his flames, and soon, Eve is the only link to sanity that Cain has as the world turns to fire around him. Eve isn’t human, despite the cover she’s used for years, and she is more than capable of withstanding a little heat. But as their enemies plot to trap them, Eve and Cain will be forced to trust each other completely. Be forced to surrender to a desire that cannot be controlled, and soon, if they are not careful, it’s a desire that might just have the power to destroy them both. If you want something too badly, if you want someone too much…you will never even see the fire coming, not until it’s too late. Be careful. You don’t want to get burned… Author’s Note: Welcome to the world of my phoenixes! HOT ENOUGH TO BURN is a romance steamy enough to singe your fingers, but what else should you expect from a fierce shifter hero? HOT ENOUGH TO BURN was originally published by Kensington back in 2014, and back then, it had the title of BURN FOR ME. I’m super excited to bring this tale to readers once again! It’s a full-length story (90k), with a guaranteed happy ending.

Official published review:

I cry only for you

Woah! This book is smoking! The characters are edgy and phenomenal with so much mystery and emotional angst that I could feel the pages heating up. Then the author really laid on the heat. No really! This guy was hot enough to burn and every time he got rid of the bad guys I was waiting for my ereader to burst into flames. I absolutely loved watching these two characters find their justice and HEA. And I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series. Hopefully my favorite wolf will find his own HEA along the way.

5 stars
