You probably haven’t noticed, okay its fairly obvious if you follow my blog, but the girls and I love going to the zoo. Any zoo. We love to travel around and check out any zoos in the area, big and small, just enjoying the outdoors and the animals. We usually try to get to our local zoo at least once a season, but this year we were lucky and got to visit again. Summer’s Job’s Daughters group were heading out for the day on a Mystery Trip, and they were nice enough to let Mollee and I tag along. Okay we kind of went off on our own once we got in the zoo, but it was still a fantastic time had by all.
I think one of the main reasons we love to go to the zoo is that it is outside, and you get to see all of the animals while getting in some exercise. Usually, we don’t do all of the side activities as we prefer to just walk around and enjoy, but since this was our second trip for the year and we were on someone else’s timeline, Mollee and I took full advantage. Especially since they were still under COVID restrictions, so the crowds weren’t too bad, I mean for once we actually got to get close to the flamingos and get some amazing shots, and the animals were enjoying the calm before the storm. We were lucky and managed to make it to the car before the storm really hit, but as you can see it was cutting it very fine.
We had lunch in the food court, yummy Old Bay cheese fries. Come on! We are in MD everyone lives for Old Bay on everything. We walked around all of the animal enclosures, and even took the 15-minute train ride around the park. We spent some time with the penguins since it was the perfect place to cool off and catch up on some reading.
Let me tell you, this book is amazing! The author started the series off with a bang and kept the intensity throughout the story. I love how the characters grew and developed throughout the story and I just couldn’t put it down. If you are looking for a new series to lose yourself in, then look no further because this series will keep you going for the weekend and beyond.
If you ever find yourself in the Baltimore area, you should check out the Zoo. But be prepared because there is a lot of walking if you choose not to take the tram down to the exhibits.

Adding up the numbers
This book was amazing! I have never read anything by this author before and she managed to captivate me and blow me away before the end in the very first book. I love the characters! The perfect alpha male, the queen meant to be his, and the side characters who added flavor to the story and enhanced the overall reading experience, they all came together in this fantastic mix of hard as nails and soft as a pillow story. This book is fast-paced and was over way before I wanted it to be. The author made the journey to the HEA a wild and exciting ride that I can’t wait to take again. This might have been my first book by this author, but I assure you it will not be the last.
