Ahoy there, me maties!


In keeping with the theme for the day, we made our way a little on further down the road to the McLarty Treasure Museum. With perfect timing really as, the museum was getting ready to close in an hour. I’m telling you! All that sun really makes you forget that there are still little things like closing time. But we squeaked in under the wire, so that is all that matters.


This museum is small, but it is jam packed with all kinds of interesting treasure related items. There is a film that you can sit and watch, unfortunately we had to forgo that due to time constraints, so many exhibits to see and read about, the staff were on hand and knowledgeable about the subject, and our favorite part was the outdoors observation deck built like the bow of a ship.


If you have time during your travels on the A1A, I would highly recommend stopping at this little diamond in the rough. You will not be disappointed. And what better book for this salty little adventure then this one. It is all about finding and appreciating the diamond in the rough since both of the main characters could hold that title. The author did a fantastic job tying it into the first book and setting us up for the third. Like the location, this book is a must visit that is sure to delight you for hours to come.

Leaving the past behind

This is one of those stories that just touches your heart. It involves friendship, love, and the ultimate sacrifice. Making for an ending that’s bittersweet and so emotional the HEA will stick with you for days. I love the characters, and the way the author manages to keep them all active and intertwined in the overarching storyline. She brought more excitement and danger to the story with this book and left me wanting more. This was the perfect weekend read and I can’t wait to see what happens in book three.
