Kindles in the Wild – Theirs to Punish – Ivy Barrett – Paper Mill NCR Trail – May 18, 2022

From my top 10 number 10 to the oldest Kindles in the Wild that I still have to write about. I guess the saying is true that we have been everywhere man. Although in this case we were actually not that far from our house. This particular trail is one that we enjoy coming to over and over again. The trail is a paved road that takes you through scenic sections in the forest, over bridges, and has little segways and picnic areas/benches along the path. There are 2 parking areas a few miles apart, the one on Paper Mill Road is the bigger of the two but be warned it can fill up quick on a warm, sunny Saturday morning, or you can go all the way out to Monkton and take the long way around. For the most part the trail is an easy path being pretty flat and wide enough for walkers and bikes to share, the length is actually what might get to you if you forget that you have to walk back along the same distance to return to your car.

On this excursion we set a slow pace and made some stops along the path to just enjoy the nature around us. We love that there is this secluded little area right in the middle of the hubbub so close to Baltimore City. And what kind of reader would I be if I didn’t bring my IPad and Kindle app along for the ride.

This book was a fantastic read, although it is not one of my favorites. I really struggled to connect with the leading lady. In the beginning she was a mean person who thought she was better than those around her, but not to worry, the author made sure she got everything that she needed. Even if it was not exactly what she thought she wanted. This book was worth pushing past the questionable nature of the leading lady to find the heart of gold that she kept so, so, so, well hidden.

If you are looking for a book to take you away, this would be high on my list of recommendations. And if you are looking for a location that your legs can take you away, this is one of my favorites. No matter where the world may take you, I hope to see you with your nose in a book and out there on the trails.

Happy Reading

Theirs to Punish (Kobar Mates Book 1)

Published to Amazon on November 6, 2020

Author Ivy Barrett

For Anna Corvina, preparing human females for breeding was just a job. Until today... Today she became the property of three Kobar warriors. It shouldn't have been possible. She wasn't even supposed to be entered in the lottery, but her sharp tongue got her in trouble with her stern, infuriatingly sexy alien boss and he apparently decided that a painful, humiliating public spanking was not a sufficient reminder of her place. Anna knows what comes next, and that only makes it more shameful. Soon she will be bare and on display for her new masters, and then there will be no hiding the arousal glistening on her thighs as she is punished, trained, and used in any way they please. Soon there will be no denying that her body aches to be bred. Publisher's Note: Theirs to Punish is a stand-alone novel which is the first book in the Kobar Mates series. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

Official published review:

Pleasure in the pain

I absolutely loved the guys in this book! From the beginning to the end, I saw their connection, their love for each other, and their care for the people around them. I was not as enamored with their leading lady. At least not in the beginning. But as they shaped her and helped her grow, she kind of grew on me. Underneath her pain there is a woman full of caring. I enjoyed the action and danger, and of course the heat that the author brought to the table, and I can’t wait to read what’s next.
