Kindles in the Wild – His Purrfect Mate – Georgette St. Clair – April 16, 2022




Another beautiful day, another journey to a scenic location. This one made me feel a little like a dwarf. And no, I’m not referring to my formidable 5 ft height. We headed out early, some of us more enthusiastic about it than others and braved the DC traffic to head under the earth.

This is one of the largest caverns around, and once you head down you know why. The ceilings are soaring, no claustrophobia to be found and the entire walk is well lit. From the moment you step onto the brick path you find yourselves surrounded by the true beauty of nature. There is no guided tour, but they set you on your way with a pamphlet full of facts and key spots. There is a wishing well and even as organ to enjoy below the earth.

But that’s not all! Once you get back to the surface there are several museum options and outdoor activities. We took a spin around the Historic Car and Carriage Caravan Museum. The museum is full of conveyances from every era, including a horse tricycle and an old fashion Shriner car. We enjoyed getting to see all of the sites.

The book on my Kindle app this time is another one from my author obsession. The author started me out on a completely different shifter journey with this one. New characters and a new storyline made for an exciting journey that was the right companion for this trip.

No matter the length of the drive, the caverns are one of those things you should experience at least once. I have been fortunate enough to enjoy them twice in my lifetime, so far, who knows what the future will bring for me. I do recommend purchasing your tickets online and be sure to get there early or the lines will be long and the parking spots sparse.

Research your history

This book adds another level to the Shifters Inc series. There are bad guys, and then there are Bad Guys, and there is that perfect alpha male to save the day. I enjoyed getting to see two different angles to the story, and the HEA was one for the history books. This book is perfect for the weekend and I can’t wait to read the next installment.
