Kindles in the Wild – Bound by Blood – Piper Davenport – July 4, 2021

As the year finally draws to a close, I feel like I need to get back on track and post the rest of my Kindles in the Wild from 2021. So please bear with me as we take a journey way back to July 4th and forward. As most of you know June was a hard month for us, we unexpectedly lost my mother, and it has been a big adjustment for my girls as she lived with us and has always been a big part of their lives.

In an attempt to find some normalcy, we met my sister at this out of the way park in Westminster to enjoy a bit of gluten free goodness with my sister to celebrate Independence Day. The park was not what we were expecting, way smaller than we thought and not much there other than a fantastic little playground, but we had a great time just getting to be together. As you can see Summer took full advantage of the lack of people and swing set.

This park is a nice peaceful place to get away from it all and back to nature. And of course, it’s the perfect place to get in a few pages, or chapters, okay you got me! The entire first book in a brand new to me series. This book was fantastic and just what I needed to get out of my head and into a different reality. I absolutely loved the characters and the story, and I can’t wait until life slows down a little, so I can back to reading the rest of the series.

If you are looking for that brief little break in a secluded location, be sure to check out King Park, you might even want to bring the kids so they can take advantage of the fantastic playground. But no matter how you get there, or who you bring, be sure to grab the donuts and this fantastic book.

Happy Reading

Dr. Samantha Moore is one of the youngest and most acclaimed researchers in the world. Her specialty is blood and she has been recruited by the largest pharmaceutical company in Scotland. For what purpose she cannot begin to imagine, but in an attempt to break out of her painfully shy shell, she throws caution to the wind and leaves her family and best friend behind in Savannah. Dr. Kade Gunnach is taking a chance hiring an outsider, but he’s desperate to find out how to help his sister. He believes the key lies in her blood, but so far, no one has found the answers. When the new researcher walks into his office, he’s unprepared for his reaction to her and the life-changing ramifications her arrival brings. They’re drawn together by a force neither is prepared for, but Kade is holding something back. Something that could scare her away. When Samantha learns his secret, will she run? Will Kade be able to live with the answers he’s been desperately searching for?

Official published review:

Drawn together

I have been looking for a new series to fall in love with, and I think I just found it! The author kept me entertained with family drama, a hidden agenda, betrayal, and a love meant to be. There was so much going on in this book to grab my attention that you would think it would be overwhelming, but the story flowed perfectly and the high intensity kept the story moving and exciting. I love the interaction between the characters and the way the author set us up for more stories in the future. She really brought the old world and the new world together to make for a book that I am glad I finally got a chance to read. This book was the perfect series starter and I can't wait to read the next 9 books in the series. I am sure that they are going to be amazing!
